News: Technical Work Experience

Artsline, 15 December 2015, 22:05

Technical Work Experience Sadlerís Wells and The Peacock Sadlerís Wells is a world-leading dance house, presenting a year-round programme of dance of every kind to annual audiences of over half a million on its three London stages: Sadlerís Wellsí theatre (1,500 seats), the Lilian Baylis Studio (180 seats) and The Peacock (1,000 seats). It also commissions and produces cutting-edge original work and tours it to arts venues in the UK and overseas. Sadlerís Wells supports 16 world-class Associate Artists, three Resident Companies and one Associate Company, who represent the most exciting talent working in dance today and are at the heart of its vision and artistic programme. We are offering a number of work experience opportunities within the Technical departments at both Sadlerís Wells Theatre and The Peacock. The successful applicants will work with our in-house team to provide support to visiting companies and will be involved in lighting, sound and stage for large scale productions at our theatres. There may also be opportunities for experience on productions in the Lilian Baylis Studio, our smaller studio theatre space. We are seeking candidates who require a work placement as part of a Technical Theatre course, with specialisations in lighting, sound or stage. Ideally, the successful candidates will have a specific interest in technical production for dance. These opportunities are available throughout 2016. To apply for this opportunity and for further information, please go to the Sadlerís Wells website, and complete the online application form. Please note that if you have not already done so, you will be required to register an account with us when you first apply for one of our opportunities. Applications for these opportunities will be ongoing and placement opportunities will be removed from the list in the Job Pack as and when suitable candidates are found.
